My friend asked my daughter to be her flower girl

My dearest friend has invited my whole family to her wedding. She even asked my daughter to be her flower girl. I felt excited for my five year old daughter since it would be her first time to be a flower girl in a wedding. I could just imagine how my beautiful my daughter would be on the wedding. My daughter has always been fond of wearing precious dresses.

My friend had chosen the perfect dress for my daughter. She told me where I could get the dress and I immediately went there. I brought my daughter to the store and had her fit the dress. I found out that the dress was a little version of the wedding gown. It was definitely such a lovely dress. My daughter really looked like an angel. The salesman gave me a choice of whether to pay it fully or not. I was surprised when I discovered that the dress costs about 230 dollars. I thought it was quite expensive for a flower girl dress. I told the salesman that I would not pay it in full. I immediately went out the store and never mentioned this to my friend.

There are weddings that do not have flower girls. However, it is always delightful to have even just one flower girl on a wedding. A flower girl is usually between four to eight years of age. If any don’t have family or friends with children between those ages then, do not force to include a flower girl in your wedding. However, if you have friends and family with children in those ages, choose a flower girl dress that costs inexpensively. If you know that your friend could not spend that much for the dress, you can pay for the flower girl dress.

On the wedding day, my daughter slowly walked down the aisle wearing her elegant flower girl dress. I thought she would cry and to my surprise she did not. However, my cute daughter did not drop the rose petals while she was walking. Sitting on the sides, I tried to remind her to drop the rose petals. Moreover, she seems not to understand me and continued walking slowly. When she arrived at the end of the aisle, she paused and dropped the basket quickly. The rose petals were there just in one area. I could hear the guests laughing softly.

Just learn to sew Flower Girl Dresses

Choose a pattern for the flower girl dresses that’s appropriate for the age of the flower girls. The dresses should be comfortable, and easy for them to walk in. You may want to choose dress patterns that are no longer than just below the knee, so the flower girls won’t trip while walking up the aisle.

Follow the pattern directions to cut out the dress pieces and sew them together. You may want to have the flower girls try on the dresses before you hem the skirt and sleeves, to make sure they’re the right length.

Meet with the bride to decide what style and color of flower girl dresses she wants. Find out if she’s having just one flower girl or more, and how old they are. Find out if the bride wants to help pick out patterns and materials for the dresses, and set a budget and a deadline. Make sure all expectations for the dress or dresses are clear.

Select fabric, and any decorations such as matching ribbon, lace or trim, for the flower girl dresses. You can find ribbon flowers in many fabric stores.

Find out what size the flower girls wear. Unlike adult patterns, most children’s dress pattern sizes are similar to store bought clothing. You may want to get the child’s height and waist measurement to make sure.

Cut out the pattern pieces for the flower girl dress. If you’re using the same pattern to make more than one dress, each a different size, cut along the lines for the largest size first. After you cut out the fabric for the larger size, you can cut the patterns smaller. Smooth out any wrinkles in the pattern pieces, using a low-temperature iron if needed.

Pick out good quality thread that matches the fabric, as well as zippers or buttons and any other notions you need. Although zippers make dresses easier to change, buttons can be more decorative, and provide a way to add extra detail to the dresses.

A unique wedding scene–The flower girls

In a wedding, the flower girl dress is also a beautiful scene! These lovely flower girls are dresses up in colorful and cute toddler flower girl dresses and walking down the aisle in front of the bride.

It is indeed a matter of great joy to watch your girl holding the flowers and walking up the aisle in front of the bride in beautiful toddler flower girl dresses that can indeed thrill and warm the heart of any doting parent. It is really an honor to watch your little girl dressed in such attire and maybe you start to think wistfully of the day when your baby girl will no longer be a baby and would herself walk down the aisle on her own wedding day.

A flower girl is indeed a role suited for a child. Most of the grown up girls do not want to be flower girls. It also looks more pretty and alluring when a toddler perhaps of 3-4 years is made a flower girl, ever so pretty and cute to make the scene extremely picture perfect. A toddler flower girl in a splendid pink dress often seems just right to add to the picturesque wedding scene. Toddler flower girl dresses are available in different styles, colors and cuts which you, your wife and maybe even your daughter can happily choose from in consultation with the bride who is in charge of the ceremony.

There are so many wedding sites that cater to the wedding dress needs – not only of the brides and the bridesmaids but also of the flower girls. Flower girls are cute, young girls and their dresses can be pink, cream or white depending on the choice of the bride whose writ runs by and large in such matters. So, shop at your nearest store or go online for getting the perfect toddler flower girl dress for your little one.

Flower girls dresses must match with the tone of wedding dress and the style of the wedding. If the wedding is a romantic style and the tone of it is white, soft, then black flower girl dresses may be not suitable. So just be cautious with the choice of your flower girl dress.
